Faith in Jesus Christ and repentance prepare you for baptism and receiving the Holy Ghost. If you remain faithful to your baptismal covenants, you can have the Holy Ghost with you always: Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God.” John 3:5.
